Hello, I'm Heidi!
I'm a former primary school teacher and the face behind HG Primary Tutor.
With over 12 years of experience teaching across Years 3 to 6, and now working as a dedicated tutor, I’ve supported a wide range of learners and seen how powerful personalised support can be. When learning is tailored to a child’s needs and pace, they grow in confidence and start to feel more positive about their learning.

After many years in the classroom, I wanted to create something more personal, where children could have the time and support they need. That’s why I set up HG Primary Tutor, to offer creative, supportive and engaging sessions where children feel comfortable and able to succeed.
I offer small group evening sessions for children in Years 3 to 6, as well as daytime sessions for home-educated learners across KS1 and KS2. I specialise in supporting children with English and maths, particularly those who need extra support, have gaps in their learning or would benefit from a boost in confidence. I also adapt sessions for children with additional needs, helping learning feel accessible and achievable.
In our sessions, I take time to really understand what each child needs. I use a mix of structured teaching, practical resources and learning games to keep them engaged and enjoying their learning.
I’m passionate about helping children feel proud of their progress, believe in themselves and look forward to their sessions each week!
If you’re looking for personalised, supportive tuition, I’d love to work with you.
